Privacy Policy
How we handle your information
Bello coordinates medical travel, which means we collect health and contact information and share it with the hospital and surgeon you’re matched with. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it — applied consistently, wherever you’re located.
Effective: September 2026
Medical photographs: Bello does not collect or store medical photographs. If your matched hospital or surgeon requests photos as part of your evaluation, you share those directly with them through a channel they provide — Bello is not involved in that exchange and does not store or have access to those images.
01
Introduction
Bello Health (“Bello,” “we,” “us,” “our”) operates bello.health and provides medical travel coordination services connecting patients with accredited hospitals and surgeons abroad. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights available to you.
Bello is a coordination and concierge service. We do not provide medical treatment. Medical treatment is provided exclusively by independent, third-party hospitals and surgeons (“Partner Providers”) that you are matched with.
02
Information We Collect
- Contact information: full name, email, phone number, country of residence, preferred language
- Health information: medical history, current conditions, medications, allergies, prior surgeries, procedure-specific details, and anything you share during intake or consultation regarding your health and goals
- Trip and service preferences: procedure of interest, selected destination, tier or service selections, travel window
- Payment information: processed by our third-party payment processor; Bello does not store full payment card numbers
- Communications: records of your communications with your coordinator and Bello staff
- Technical information: IP address, browser type, general site usage data
03
How We Use Your Information
- To provide quotes and match you with an appropriate Partner Provider
- To coordinate your procedure, travel, and recovery logistics
- To communicate with you before, during, and after your trip
- To conduct outcome follow-up at 1 week, 6 weeks, and 6 months after your procedure
- To process payment for services
- To improve our services and website
- To comply with legal obligations
05
International Transfer of Your Information
Because Bello coordinates care with hospitals in multiple countries, your health and personal information will be transferred to and processed in the destination country associated with your selected procedure. We apply the same data protection standards described in this policy consistently, wherever you are located and wherever your information is processed.
By submitting a consultation or intake request and selecting a destination, you acknowledge this international transfer as a necessary part of the service. You’ll be asked for separate, explicit consent before any medical history is shared with a specific Partner Provider.
06
Data Retention
- Active leads and consultations with no booking: retained for 24 months from last contact, then deleted or anonymized
- Booked patients: retained for 7 years following your procedure date, consistent with standard medical-record retention practice, then deleted or anonymized unless a longer period is legally required
- You may request earlier deletion — see Section 9
07
How We Protect Your Information
We apply encrypted data transmission and storage, role-based access controls limiting who internally can view your information, and audit logging of access to sensitive records. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to protecting your information and will notify you in the event of a breach affecting your data.
08
Your Rights
Wherever you’re located, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. We apply this standard globally, not only where it’s locally required. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@bello.health. We will respond within 30 days.
09
Data Deletion Requests
You may request deletion of your personal information at any time at info@bello.health, or through our deletion request form. We will delete or anonymize your information within 30 days of a verified request, except where we’re required to retain certain records for legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes — in which case we’ll tell you specifically what’s retained and why. If your information has already been shared with a Partner Provider as part of an active or completed procedure, requests regarding the records that provider holds must go to them directly — they are an independent party for the care they provided, separate from Bello.
11
Children's Privacy
Bello’s services are not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors.
12
Changes to This Policy
We review and update this policy periodically to reflect our current practices. Material changes will be posted here, and where appropriate, we’ll notify you directly.
